From medical sources familiar with the city: Due to the heavy, continuous shelling in Deir Ezzor, more than 1,500 people thus far are injured. Given the critical shortage of medical care, supplies, and medicines, these people's lives are in grave danger. Based on this information, the revolutionaries of Deir Ezzor have declared Deir Ezzor to be a disaster area in need of a humanitarian corridor, and plead with the international community to quickly intervene to save the lives of the wounded and other civilians.
