Mother duck hit by train, badly spilt beak , babies scattered and no access allowed on the railway line. Hmmm what next. The British Railguys managed to get the mum so off went Sean and team to try to locate the scatterd day old ducklings. After over an hour we located them huddled together under a building - problem - fence surrounding it was over 12 feet high topped with barbed wire - Hmmm - Sean appeared the other side ! loctaed the ducklings and gathered them all together by very slow and calm intervention. After what was a 2 hour rescue took them all back to the centre where Lucy worked on the mums beak to make a temporary repair. Mum reunited with her 8 babies by 22.30. Will chat to a friendly vet tomorrow to make a cover to protect the beak. Not out of the woods yet but here's hoping all ends well.
