*The man's touch was suddenly very compelling. His smile was knowing and altogether quite delicious. Lex was thankful there was enough beer in his system to hide the blush from an obvious flirtation he was NOT prepared for.*

*His next reply was evenly voiced and honest*

"Like I said, I was drawn to the music and the singer's voice. I don't like being in places like this, but I thought I'd listen a bit longer. Too bad, since whoever was playing finished even before I knew who they were."

*Suddenly, Lex's cellphone beeped. He opened the message from Sherlock*

-----

Sherlock: I need you to meet up with John very soon. Come see me before the night is over. Don't tell anyone. SH

Lex: Right. Be there in an hour. Hope that's not too long a wait.

-----

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I've just been called for a very important meeting."

*Lex's sudden departure from the table visibly worried the tall one. He followed right behind the shorter, much paler-skinned man in seconds.*

"But we wa jus gettin' too da good bits about de music that pooled ya here. Did Ah do somting to offend you, mah fren?"

*Outside, Lex had more control of himself. He spun around and looked at the tall man squarely in the eyes*

"No, Kaleb, you weren't exactly offensive. I'm actually really being called to a meeting in a hospital where my sick friend is. I just need to be there in one hour. I'm also sorry to leave our conversation hanging."

"Bot weyt. Lemme giv yoo mah numbah, den you can kol me anytime yoo won. Any time atoll, mah hansom fren."

"You really think I'm handsome?" *Lex smiles flirtatiously, surprising the tall Rastafarian.*

"Not tink, Ah know." *Kaleb takes out a calling card from his wallet and hands it to Lex*

"If evah you wonna lissen to mah band agen, or if yoo jus wonna tok to me, den sen me a message, Lex. I look fowad to lahnin' morr abowt you... Mah very hansom fren."

Cabbie: Where to, mister?

Lex: At *********************, and step on it.

Cabbie: Alright. Son, if you don't mind me saying so, you smell rather strongly of the Dandimite.

Lex: The what?

Cabbie: Dandimite. Just the Jamaican word for dynamite.

Lex: You know that place?

Cabbie: It's the most exclusive gay bar catering to druggies, Reggae fans, Rasta enthusiasts and the sort. You don't look like any of those things, son.

Lex: No. No, I don't.

Cabbie: Don't get into trouble with those people. They can hurt you beyond your imagination if you get on their bad side.

*Lex looks at Kaleb's calling card*

Lex: I think I'm on their good side, mister.
