It’s Give Big Time Again! May 2nd
The Seattle Foundation’s “Give Big” challenge is a really incredible community-wide fundraiser. Last year, about 900 local nonprofits (including us) participated and a whopping 18,800 donations were made to regional non profits, totaling more than 3.5 million dollars.
A “stretch pool” of an additional $500,000 was provided by GiveBIG partners, bringing the total amount raised to more than $4 million. The stretch pool was distributed among the 900 nonprofits that received donations during GiveBIG. Each nonprofit received a portion of the stretch pool according to the percentage it received of the total amount of GiveBIG donations.
Last year, the Happiness Initiative accepted donations through Sustainable Seattle. This year, due to our 501 (c)3 being declared just days ago we are not listed as one of the profiled non profits. Despite this you can still feel free to send your GiveBIG love to our newly certified 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization. We wouldn’t want you to miss a chance to help fund our mission and GiveBIG to the Happiness Initiative.
