Riccò: I feel somewhat "sorry" for him, not apologetically, but rather, knowing how he will probably struggle w/ life in general... While I understand why cycling fans might find him to be repulsive, I can't abide by the gloating, spite, mean-spiritedness and snark hurled at him. Hate the crime, not the man - where's your compassion for the obviously-troubled human, who (regrettably?) has a son he must provide for and serve as an example to, which doesn't look promising given the disaster he's made of his own life. Maybe Sassi could've held him in check if he'd lived - maybe not - but there but for the grace of God go any of you faced with a similar situation and circumstances. The worst though are the other pros who've dabbled with the "hot sauce" in the past and yet unashamedly lined-up to kick R2 in the balls. What is it they say, we hate most in others that which we loathe about ourselves? @thomasfrei, any thoughts on this? Riccò may have indirectly hurt your work at Mapei Center - could you still empathize with him though? #doping
