The Underpass by Cherryl Chow

Louise was early. The traffic had been thin. It was still a bit chilly. She clasped the collar of her Kelly green trench coat and hummed to herself.
She always searched for men on the online dating site who looked just like dear ol’ stepdad.
When he arrived, she strode up to him, clutching her oversize bag, her high heels clicking on the concrete pavement.
Why meet at a bench in front of an underpass? he asked. They all did. With a coy smile she beckoned him to follow her through the deserted underpass.
He did.
He had no idea.
