Easter is over and I ate a few too many chocolate eggs. :) Time to turn on the juicer and put my running shoes on again.

Last week, I went to the New Now Next Awards and it was amazing!! :) There were great performances by drag queens and the jewel in the crown of the evening, of course, was a male singer that we're a bit more familiar with ;) hah!! I was in front row and I can tell you I was so proud of him! WoW!! The show was hosted by Kelly Osbourne and she did a really great job! I take my hat off to her! I've met her a few times before and she's a truly charming, lovely and funny young woman who radiates positive energy into other people. Another guest at the awards was Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games. He's a very short young man, but very good-looking and seems like a happy sort of guy.

I went to see the first Hunger Games movie a couple of weeks ago and it was okay. I had high expectations for this movie, and I was a little disappointed. Of course books are always better because we all imagine them our own way when reading. The movie followed the plot of the book pretty well, but I thought there were too many things missing. The books were much more violent and really a little scary and haunting. The movie had almost no suspense at all. Of course I understand the movies are targeted towards a younger audience and some changes had to be made because of that. The characters weren't presented as well as they were in the books. Still, it's worth going to see, just read the books first!!

It's been really hot in LA for the past week with temperatures up to 30C. phew!! I've spent a lot of time at the pool and my tan lines are just right. :) Didn't Leena Hefner [character in Finnish comedy show Putous] rightly point out that the three most important things in life are being rich, being in love, and being tan? Hahahahhaha!! Three Rs!! [all three start with an R in Finnish, obvs] Thank you, Leena, for this bit of wisdom!
