CHAPTER 1
“that does not sound right!” Madison said in between laughs. His laugh was so flawless, so perfect. Then again, Madison was entirely perfect.
“Shut Up! I didn’t mean it like that!” I giggled as I playfully punched him. “Your minds are almost as perverted as Nikki’s!”
“HEY!” Nikki yelled at me with an ‘I’m going to cut you with a spoon’ look on her face. We were all lounging at the pool at the hotel the Boyz were staying at. Suddenly, Madison scooted closer to me. I froze. Madison was the perfect guy. He was tall, incredibly hansom, funny, smart, athletic, a dancer, sweet, caring, and cute. And as much as I hate to admit it, I loved him. But he was my best friend, telling him that would ruin everything. And that’s a risk I wasn’t going to take.
“No date tonight?” Nick asked casually. I rolled my eyes at what he said. Madison and I were so close that everyone thought we were secretly dating.
“I should ask you the same question. I thought you and Nikki were going out?” Both their faces turned bright red and the other ICONic Boyz smirked. Suddenly, we heard ‘Sexy and I Know It’ playing from the speakers. All the Boyz got up and started doing their dance.
“WE’RE SEXY AND WE KNOW IT!” Mikey yelled. Nikki and I burst out laughing. When the song ended, the Boyz sat down.
“what are we going to do tonight?” Louis asked in his sweet, angel-like voice. Louis was always like a brother to me, and I treated him like one, too.
“Movie night?” I suggested. Everyone groaned, I held my hands up in surrender.
“Game night?” Thomas asked.
“Guys, we have a concert tonight…” Jason said quickly and quietly, not wanting us to seem disappointed, which we weren’t. the Boyz worked long and hard and the ICONiacz always come out to support them and the concerts are always mind blowing. I turned to see Nick’s reaction and I saw his jaw drop.
“Holy crap, dude! Look at that lifegaurd!” We all turned in the direction Nick was gawking at. The lifeguard had flowy blond hair down to the small of her back, and eyes so green its like staring into a huge gigantic tree, and she walked like she was on a Victoria’s Secret runway.
“Amen.” Mikey said as he stared blankly at the lifeguard. I rolled my eyes.
“Guys, what are you going to do with them?” I wondered out loud.
“Hey! If that were a hot guy lifeguard, you’d do the same thing!” Nick said. Dang. He got me there. I just rolled my eyes and stared at the floor. Suddenly, I was thrown over Madison’s shoulder.
“MADISON WILLIAM ALAMIA! If you don’t put me down I WILL kick you in the…CHEST! I will kick you in the chest!” I screamed as I punch his strong back. But he didn’t put me down, typical Madison, never listens.
“Throw her in the pool!” Mikey yelled.
“MIKEY! don’t give him any ideas!” I yelled back, as I continued pounding Madison’s back. But it was to late, Madison did as Mikey suggested and I was thrown in the pool. The water felt nice and cool agenst my skin, very refreshing. But Mikey was still, going down. When I got out everyone was laughing.
“Man, did you see your face? I should’ve taped that!” Jason said, nearly falling off his chair. I just turned away and filled my water gun up with water.
“Spikeal Micheal, prepare to be squirted!” I said in the most serious voice I could manage, which was pretty serious considering I’m the weird, stupidly funny person in the group. I squirted Mikey and he covered his face and felt around for his water gun. But Nick got it before he did and squirted me in the head.
“Hey, Nikki! Help me out here!” Nick called over to the pretty girl with straight golden hair and blue eyes as bright as the sky. She looked up innocently then a mischievous smile spread across her face as she picked up a gun and squirt me in the back.
“AH! Hey, that’s no fair!” I screamed. Then as if he read my mind, Madison took a gun and squirt both Nick and Nikki, making them run in the opposite direction.
“BOOM! And that’s why I’m boss.” Madison said confidently as he smiled at me. I casually rolled my eyes but inside I almost melted. His smile could brighten up my whole day, which it did.
“duck, for cover!” Jason, Thomas, and Louis screamed, holding up huge loaded water guns. But in the time it took me, Madison, Nick, and Nikki to process what they said, we were all soaking wet.
“Better take that back, Mad. My bro Louis is boss!” I told him, Madison just rolled his eyes.
“Okay, lets go guys. We have a concert to get ready for!” Jason said. Being the smart, lovable one out of all of us, Jason always kept track of time and always made sure we were right on time. We gathered out stuff and walked into the 16 story hotel.
“Race you to the elevator!” Louis called, and everyone exept me and Madison ran toward the elevator.
“Why didn’t you race with them?” he asked me, looking at me with his big, friendly, and amazing hazel eyes.
“’cause I got a lot of stuff to carry, and by the time I realized how close I was to the elevator, I would’ve already ran into it.” I answered shyly. He laughed as he imagined me running into the elevator doors, something that I was bound to do before we left the hotel.
“Why didn’t you race?” I asked back.
“’cause I wanted to be here and talk to you.” he said as casually as ever. My heart beat faster, and I could’ve sworn he could here it beat and how loud it was beating. By the time me and Madison got to the elevator, the others already went up. When I got to the door of my room, I said goodbye to Madison and walked in. and that’s when I got the text.
Madison:
Sucks we cant have game night tonight L meet me at the fountain at 11:30 and dress formal! ;)
My heart nearly beat its way out of my chest. I wanted to show Nikki the text, since she was the only girl who knew about my crush on Madison, but I doubted he was asking me out. I bet he was just going to introduce me to some of the ICONiacz like he did last time. Sadness found its way into my heard and made my shoulders drop.
