@Londonist The new King’s Cross station does not have a public drinking water fountain, although it was considered. Safety is our priority and there are concerns about the transmission of communicable diseases with a public drinking water fountain.

We were also particularly concerned about ensuring the water was kept within Legionella guidelines, which aim to prevent the spread of Legionella, in its various forms. You can find out more about Legionella on the NHS website -http://bit.ly/bZhrx2.

Several of the new cafes and restaurants are happy to provide tap water on request. I hope this helps and that you enjoy your new station.
