So let me see if I am following this:

The Ninnies tried to save Rob from himself and - as the ever-so eloquent author of the charmingly titled "fuckyeahrobpttz" blog said yesterday - "help him improve his career and help him to become him a better actor." (Yes,boys and girls, that's a direct quote.

They bombarded WME with what I am sure were well-thought out insights and suggestions, based on their collective understanding of and experience in the entertainment industry.

When photgraphic evidence from the last several days showed that their counsel has been ignored, they did what any angry mob of sub-literate pyschos would do: they turned on the person responsible for proving once and for all that all of their theories about PR contracts and Rob sending secret signals that he's a Nonsten were wrong.

And so the Ninnies at PRSten have spent the last few days calling Rob a no-talent-possibly-gay-drug- addict-famewhore-with-no-career-and-a-bleak-future- stumbling-around-drunk-searching-for-paparazzi.
All because they don't like his girlfriend.

Despite their claims of being the "majority" of Rob's these comments were mostly the proud work of a mere 12 or so posters who seem to spend yesterday congratulating each other for coming up with a new way to insult Rob and Kristen, and crowing about how many people support them based on the hits their blog is getting.

Which begs the questions...

First, if they hate Rob and are done with him, why continue to talk about him? Are they trying to punish him for refusing to validate the reality they created? Or perhaps it's that for this segment of the fandom its ALWAYS been more about hating someone than supporting someone -- they've just expanded the circle of hate to now include Rob?

(Although I don't know why they are mad when they KNOW that he has no choice but to be seen with Kristen because of the PR CONTRACT that they have all seen and touched with their own eyes and hands, and the terms of which they can all recite by heart. Isn't that still in effect until BD2?)

My second question is a bit more pragmatic: do the Dirty Dozen at PRSten understand that the hits they are so thrilled about were the direct result of sane people tweeting the link as a prime example of Ninnie insanity?

Digital Analytics 101 - a spike always has a driver. In this case it was tweets from people who most certainly are not supporters -- as evidenced by the many messages that basically said , "wow, they're even more vicious than we thought!" As experts in PR, contracts and artist management one would think the Ninnies would be equally well versed in digital traffic analytics. Could this be a gap in their collective expertise?

But clearly the brain trust that is PRSten doesn't know that hits are not a measure of support for a POV - they are simply an indication of curiosity. (Just in case we are overestimating Ninnies understanding of marketing communications terms —not an hard thing to do -- POV stands for Point of View, NOT Pint of Vanilla.)

If all of those hit were endorsing the PRSten Pillars of Hate, they would have converted to members and posters. But 24 hours later you still have the same handful of people driving what passes for intelligent conversation in the Land of Lost.

Hate to burst yet another bubble in a week when you had a whole tub full of them explode on you, but people are checking out your site in the same way they feel compelled ple to stop and look at train wrecks or smell milk that is beyond its expiration date -- we just have to see if it's as bad as it appears. And it is.
