#leadluu @Robyn4Equality Hopefully you are aware that elections for positions on Leeds University Union (LUU) Exec are happening this week. The LUU Exec is made up of 6 elected students who work full time to enrich the lives of every Leeds University student.

DisSoc President and MatSoc committee member Robyn Brockie, is running for Equality & Diversity Officer. Our memberships comprise of a diverse range of students covering many equality and diversity strands - we are not ‘just’ mature and/or part time, we also encompass LGBT, international, postgraduate, student parents and more. Therefore getting the right candidate elected for E&D is vital for us…

Not only did Robyn singlehandedly set up DisSoc 2 years ago, she has a long history of experience working with widening participation and supporting the needs of a diverse range of students and we believe she is the best candidate for the job. Speaking not as her friends, but as lgbt, mature, disabled, and postgraduate students, we genuinely believe she will do the best job as Equality and Diversity officer and we're sure you’ll agree if you check out the candidate manifesto’s here: http://www.leedsuniversityunion.org.uk/elections/candidates/118/

Robyn's extended manifesto, which states in more detail what she promises to do if elected and how her experience will ensure she can fulfil the promises can be found at www.robynbrockie.me.uk . Her campaign video can be found at http://vimeo.com/37434554 and she can be found on Facebook at Robyn Brockie and on Twitter @Robyn4Equality

Please do vote in the LUU elections, every candidate (and their team!) has worked really hard to put their campaign together and every vote counts – seriously, one person who ran for E&D lost out by 1 vote after 3 re-counts! Plus, if you vote, you get free printer credits.

You can vote NOW at http://www.leedsuniversityunion.org.uk/leadluu/vote/ voting closes at 4pm Thursday 8th March.

We really would appreciate it if you would consider supporting Robyn, vote for her, spread the word about her excellent manifesto, ideas and experience and ask your friends to do the same!

Many Thanks,
The Committee.
