AN EARTHQUAKE HAS BEEN FELT WEAKLY BY MANY PEOPLE IN EXTREME
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI FROM NEAR NEW MADRID NORTHWARD TO SIKESTON AND
CAPE GIRARDEAU. THE EARTHQUAKE WAS FELT BY A FEW PEOPLE IN OTHER
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...SOUTHWEST
INDIANA AND WESTERN KENTUCKY. DAMAGE REPORTS SO FAR INCLUDE
OBJECTS FALLING FROM SHELVES...DISHES RATTLED OR BROKEN...AND
MINOR CRACKS TO SOME DRYWALL IN HOMES.
