There is an article that highlights Super Junior's success in Japan. The article says that K-pop stars easily become number one on the Oricon Chart nowadays. That is because they use sales promotions. Invitations to events such as showcase, autograph signing, and hug event are randomly inserted in albums. Japanese fans normally buy 5 to 10 copies to get those invitations. A representative from a Japanese record label said, "if they don't do that, they can't become number one on the Oricon Chart. The number of albums increase by 3 to 4 times when there is a promotion. So we have to acknowledge that fact." The article says Super Junior is different from those who use sales promotions. "There is a group wthat proudly became number one on the Oricon Chart without using a trick. It is Super Junior. Super Junior became number one on the Oricon Daily Chart on December 10th when they released Japanese version of "Mr. Simple" on December 7th of last year. Super Junior had 80,000 audiences at their concert which was held at Kyocera dome in Osaka, Japan. They are expected to bring in 100,000 people on May 12th and 13th at Tokyo dome. A representative said, "the Japanese industry is very amazed by Super Junior. Super Junior was the only group that became number one on the Oricon Chart without using a trick. A big management company Johnny's that manages top male idols in Japan couldn't stop them.""
