'Teach me how to love'
Chapter 3.2 ~ *Zayn's POV

“Could you, could you…” A girl with long blonde hair and pink locks in it was staring at me and gasped as she tried to talk to me properly. Another girl, who was tannish and had pretty blue eyes, took a deep breath and hand out her pink notebook to me. She blinked as she asked me:
“Hi Zayn, could you please sign my notebook? I’m Michaela.” While the other’s almost ran over me, she just stood still and watched me expectantly, so I sighed.
“Yes… I’ll sign all of your notebooks, or whatever you brought with you. But afterwards I really need to go. Okay?” A few girls screamed and I put on a fake smile. The girl who was called Michaela, was the only one who kept calm, so I signed her notebook first and added: ‘To Michaela, much love x’. She looked at me thankfully and walked away with a big smile on her face. It made me feel happy to see a girl walk away from me like that. I shut my eyes, sighed and opened them again to turn around at the other girls.
I shouldn’t be doing this, this school-thingy had to be a new experience, a little voice repeated in my mind, but I ignored it. I just couldn’t walk away from my fans, I really couldn’t. It’s the most horrible thing you can do.
“Girls!” I spoke, but they continued mumbling, so I cleared my throat and said, this time louder: “GIRLS!” They immediately stopped talking and watched me, a little bit frightened. Ah well, it was unusual for me to scream, indeed. “We should go and stand somewhere else”, I said as I gestured to the corridor. “We’re getting in the way of other students, please move on with me.” I walked away and noticed the amount of fans had increased. It kind of looked like the bunch of fans we had outside during the X-Factor tour. It felt the same now. We were really surprised actually, but it was very exciting for us though.
“Us…” I mumbled as a terrible feeling appeared in my tummy. It felt like someone just shot me right in the heart, but I had to shake it away. The boys… I had to ignore the urge to think of them now.
I was still walking along the footpath in the canteen, being followed by fans, as I suddenly noticed a girl in front of me. She fell over as a few other girls ran into me and pushed her out of their ways. I just ignored the fans now and quickly walked to the girl, who was lying on the ground now. I laid my hand on her shoulder, as she looked up. I recognized the girl: she was in the class I had today.
“Hey!” I said, a little bit worried. Her eyes widened as she watched me. “Are you okay?” I spoke to her, and I took her hands to help her stand up again.
“Thank you, I’m fine, I guess”, she said. What was her name, again?
“Ha, typical Amy! Falling over to try and get attention. Jeez”, one of the fans who stood behind me screamed. I ignored her and focused on the girl again. Amy, that’s what she was called.
“Anything wrong?” I asked as Amy pulled an irritated face and grabbed her arm.
“No, no, nothing, it’s okay! Thank you!” She wanted to turn around again but I stopped her by grabbing her other arm.
“Don’t lie to me. Are you hurt? Show me your arm”, I said to her and she looked at me nervously. She put out her arm to me with a painful look on her face, which she was actually trying to hide. I held her arm with two hands and took a closer look. A scratch adorned her arm, probably caused by some sharp object one of the screaming girls was holding. The scratch was bright red and bleed a little.
“We have to clean it up!” I said to her, and she nodded hesitatingly.
“Um…” I said as I bit my lip and looked around the group of fans, who were standing behind and next to me. Some looked at Amy compassionately, other’s watched her enviously.
Okay, now I had to… Wait, I didn’t know where to go in this school.
My cheeks turned a little bit red as I brought my face a little bit closer to Amy’s and whispered:
“I feel so embarrassed to ask this, but: could you please tell me where the concierge is so I can bring you there?”
