@feed_the_beef No other explanation for Christianity. The earliest records go back to the resurrection. It's not easy to be a Christian, any old piece of dead wood can float downstream. "For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied."
But in fact he has been raised in glory and power, and today we are celebrating the fact that God the Son humbled himself, took the form of a servant, humbled himself all the way to death on the cross for this resurrection that he makes available to those who put their faith in him.
Alternative explanations for the origin of Christianity are idle speculation and, actually, guesswork. Bunches of odd religions have risen and fallen, especially in the land of Jesus, because they were looking for a Messiah. Only one survives, because only one was God in flesh, crucified and risen from the dead.
