The cars were some dents and a broken mirror, but there was no damage. Not much later a demonstrator disrupted a public meeting where Clinton spoke. He wants an end to the Visiting Force Agreement, an agreement which gives legal protection of American soldiers in the Philippines. This is a controversial issue in the Philippines, alleged crimes by U.S. troops in the former colony of the U.S.. Clinton responded sensibly to the protest. "This shows that people in the Philippines are not afraid to express their views."
