I like the quieter tone of holiday political shows. Temporary show hosts don’t have the same ratings stake in generating outrage or stirring up residue from the sediment of our ever bubbling political pot.

Watching holiday news on cable TV is like finding a French café at opening time on a slow Tuesday morning. There is time to savor the aroma of the fresh brewed news without the static and hyperbole of rude, agitated hosts competing for audience share.
