Response to Adrian Lamo's Statement

Adrian Lamo published a statement this morning in which he implied that Julian Assange has failed as the figurehead of WikiLeaks. Adrian Lamo proceeded to suggest that I, myself, am most suited to brandish the banner for anti-secrecy activism. Lamo's statement was: "Nadim Kobeissi is uniquely situated and qualified to stop cheerleading and start acting - he could be a genuinely honest Julian Assange, one more concerned with truth than ego."

I would like to express my sincere shock and confusion as to the humility and modesty Adrian Lamo portrayed in the above statement. I was already aware of Adrian's standing as a pillar of human truth, but in this statement, Mr. Lamo truly betrayed himself to be a endless ocean of selflessness that drowns the most noble sacrifices of mankind.

I believe that, should a replacement ever be required for Mr. Assange, it is most certainly Adrian Lamo himself that is most suited for the task. Adrian's record of integrity, competence, and patriotism have resulted in the most noble arrests of all time. He has made tragic sacrifices - attempting to stop the free flow of atrocious videos such as Collateral Murder from reaching the public, since, as we all know, it's these videos themselves that cause U.S. deaths - not the barbarity they portray.

It is already dumbfounding enough that I am so lucky as to share the same planet with such a skilled, modest, talented born-leader such as Adrian Lamo; but by disregarding his obvious shining as the true, chosen spearhead of the Information Freedom movement, Adrian truly redefined my understanding of human acumen and sagacity.

Adrian Lamo, your erudition is wasted on us - step forth and fight for your rightful place.
