The battle for #AlKhums has begun – gun battles inside the city between local #FF and #Gaddafi forces intensified yesterday - & ‘NATO has dropped leaflets near the centre of Al Khums requesting people to stay well clear of Government buildings - goo.gl/fb/n00iT - and families are starting to flee the city as the fighting has spread to various districts throughout the city.

Once again the fighting arose as a result of mass arrests of local youth by Regime forces – many of whom are still incarcerated - which provoked attacks on Gaddafi gun mounted cars – three of which were destroyed by #FF - & fighting has since yesterday broken out in over 20 Al Khums streets

Support for the Al Khums #FF should also arrive soon from Zliten & #Misrata #FF – @FelicityBarrTV has reported that Gadaffi forces have completed vacated Zlitan - hastily abandoning much appreciated ammunition, weapons, and equipment - into the grateful hands of the FF.

@EndTyranny101 has reported the current location of Zliten #FF at the district of #Kiam – which is located mid way between Al khums & Zliten cities – SEE MAP [scroll up & down to link cities] – and this is currently the new front between the two coastal cities.

Reports are indicating that Gaddafi mercenaries retreating from Zliten are now flooding into the city.

They should perhaps consider AlKhums as a very temporary sanctuary – as on present progress the Zliten and #Misurata FF - are likely to be on the outskirts of the city this weekend.
