Right. Because no one in the media has ever lied about how the experience of making something was during its promotion and then later said how miserable they actually were or finally told some other nasty truth.
Oh, wait, no, that happens all the time. Not at all surprised this is another situation like that.

This is all kinds of idiotic. He'd done the job he was contracted to do -- one season of Doctor Who. He'd suffered through the things he didn't like. He was in no way compelled to continue. And he did put himself up for the role, but that doesn't mean he had to like it once he got there.
"It might be easier to decide whether Eccleston was up his own backside or justifiably concerned if we actually knew what he was complaining about. Just saying he didn't like the culture or politics behind it tells us nothing. We need specifics to be able to make an informed opinion"
Do we? Is it our business? No, it isn't. We're interested, sure; we're curious; but we don't "need" to make an informed opinion because it's nothing to do with us.

I do wish people wouldn't opine on stuff they know nothing about -- I think it's pretty clear he quit before that. Maybe they were joking, I dunno... but Love & Monsters and School Reunion are great episodes, and New Earth and Idiot's Lantern aren't actually that bad when you go back to them.
Fear Her is shit though.
