A CRY FOR HELP!!!#YEFREN, #KIKLA, #ALQALAA
**URGENT REPORT / REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE HELP** #NAFUSA

A member of our group on the ground in #Yefren, today Monday the 23rd of May at about 23:00 hrs Libyan time has provided us with the following urgent message to communicate to the world:

Armed #Gadaffi forces have been positioned in the same locations across #Yefren for the past month and twenty days. However, during the last 48 hrs there has been a vast increase in their numbers allowing them toke control of more positions including the small valleys and positions on hills thereby blocking the people's walkway which they have been depended on to access the very basic necessities (Food and Water) these necessities in themselves are scarce and to cut this off will only speed up starvation. He also added that it is evident that the ultimate goal of the #Gadaffi Forces is to completely destroy the city and all those residing in it.

We would like to remind the reader that there is a known strong hate of Gaddafi towards #Amazigh ethnic minority that occupy cities in #Nafusa mountains, with biggest being #Yefren and #Algalaa [al Qalaa] that he put under tight siege since 3rd of April (The only town under complete siege in Libya with No NATO, Media, International activity to relief its civilians). The Amazigh civilians can be traced back to 4000 BC in this area. About two weeks ago Gaddafi forces caught five people in Dahar subburbs of AlGalaa. They tortured them and release two them to take a clear warning to people of Algalaa and Yefren: either you come out and raise the flag of Gaddafi or we will destroy the two town completely and wipe them off the face of the earth. This warning was given by a high ranking army general.

We are approaching our seventh week of a This appeal is prepared in response to the continuous pleas by civilians on the ground in the above areas who have been suffering every day for six weeks. They are facing the harshest type of siege on all levels physically and mentally and face each day daily attacks, starvation, disease, kidnapping, torture and in some areas abuse. The question on the minds of these civilians is if they would survive each day and if and when the eyes in the sky will assist to protect and prevent a human catastrophe.

I trust we can respond to this humane request before it is too late.

We would also take this opportunity to thank the Libyan community, International Institutions and Governments and all those who believe in Humanity. We welcome the International Organisations support in taking the bold decision to protect the civilians of Libya by “taking all necessary measures” and we thank the millions of people and civil contributors who believe in their duty to defend the fundamental rights of humans beings: subsistence, protection, affection, understanding, participation, identity and freedom.
