They said it couldnt be done. A flash in the pan. A one hit wonder. Not enough meat on the bone to fill the hunger of Twitter followers. Well Geffman47 has defied the odds and proved the nay-sayers wrong as we reached 1000 followers today. With a momentous occasion as such, we must Twog the journey and give credit where credit is due.

First, we would like to say thank you to my teammates in Florida. David Fischer, Toney Mosey, Trew LArmAn and Mike McKenzie who had a vision and persuasive arguments to get me to register my account. They also provided the necessary technical ins and outs of Twitter that made the transition of my facebook page, to an even more time wasting and consuming that much easier.

Mike McKenzie will also receive a high 5 twice, becoming a member of a select few in the process of what we here at Geffman47 call a "high 10". Four hours after the account was opened, I went to bed with 3 followers who were mentioned in the previous paragraph. Mike took it upon himself and tweeted a "follow this guy" and I awoke to 76. It was a joyous occassion and we knew this was the start of something special. The nerves were elevated as we werent familiar with most and thought that my tweets would be misunderstood and the humor would be lost. It wasnt. Many thanks to Mike.

The next thank you would like to be extended to Mike's father Bob. After seeing my thank you tweet to Mike and praising his efforts, Mr. McKenzie took it upon himself to not only show me who really had the twitter power in the family, but also what can be achieved on twitter. I remember it like yesterday, and even though I would have worded it differently his "ECHL'ers need some love too, follow Geffman47" took us to a whole new level. Our followers took off like a small computer stock merging with Microsoft. With great expectations come great responsibility, and the nerves once again arose.

After that, things really took care of themselves. A couple of fights with Andrew Gordon, Oskar Osala and the spelling Owl who plagued my early page with jibberish fueled more followers to jump on the crazy train. Goepardy took followers to new heights and appreciate the devotion to it as it is one of Geffmans greatest passions.

We want to thank the aforementioned people again for the contributions made to helping us get to 1,000 followers. I am pretty sure none of them follow me today as my twitter assaults have been described as "a virus", "obnoxious", "too much", "annoying", "unwanted", and "tomfoolery" (Oskar is learning new english words everday). So with that in mind, we would like to thank all of the current followers for your support and follows. Your tweets and retweets. Your love and devotion. Your sarcasm and disgust. It is all appreciated.

In closing, we would like to let everyone know that even though this journey has reached a milestone, it is far from reaching its destination. We plan on learning twitpic, and I feel handicapped with my Macbook Pro as it does not have Microsoft paint. When I find an application for the Mac that can allow me to photo shop images, you all better be buckled up on this crazy train because it is going to pick up speed. Thank you all and Happy following!
