OK, I have an announcement. Not as drastic as @midmajority's... but I'm taking some time off Twitter, as of tomorrow. (Obviously I gotta wait until after Notre Dame plays for the women’s championship tonight!) I've been spending too much time here, and I need a break. Mind you, I’m not in "trouble" or anything like that. I just know, in my own judgment, that I need to re-focus and re-prioritize, and Twitter is acting as too much of a time-sink for me right now. Also, I know myself well enough to know I can't just "cut back a bit" – I don't have the will power for that, when it comes to something as addictive as Twitter. So I've decided to cut myself off cold turkey for a while, and the end of basketball season seems the perfect moment for it. I'm not leaving Twitter FOREVER, but I intend to take at least a month off. And to reinforce that intent, I will be switching my e-mail address to a joint account that goes to both me and @MileHighBecky, then changing my password to some randomly typed gobbledygook (which I'll type with my eyes closed), so the only way I can access my account is by resetting my password via the "forgot password" page, which will require that a reset-password e-mail be sent to both me and Becky. That way, she'll hold me accountable if I waver from my plan. :) Again, this will take place at some point tomorrow. No big ceremony, but I'll say goodbye before I go.
