Slash Army Exclusive Interview

 Hey Slash, how are you ? You've been touring with your solo project and now doing the open act for Ozzy Osbourne. How do you feel about all this feedback from the public and the press ?

SLASH – Touring w/Ozzy and for my solo work has been a really positive experience.

 We all know that you're working on another solo album that'll feature Myles Kennedy on all the tracks. In which point is that process? Are you writing the new songs while touring? Any new song ready ?

SLASH – I’m on the road right now and recording ideas for the next record and then giving them to Myles and he is writing lyrics. So we’re compiling as much material as possible. And hopefully we’ll be in the studio by next year, if not sooner.

 Did you chose the producer for the new record ? Since Eric Valentine made a killer job on the first one, maybe you can repeat the dose … About the studio musicians, will you record with your touring band ?

SLASH – I’m planning on working with Eric Valentine once again.

 Soon you'll be setting fire on South America, any special expectations for that leg? If you had to chose a moment that you'll never forget from ALL your Brazilian gigs, which one would that be ?

SLASH – I’m excited to go to South America, although I don’t have any specific expectations. It is going to be a much different experience for me than my previous trips there because I’ll be with my own band doing my own music.

 We're curious and won't loose the oportunity to ask you … when are you coming back to Europe ? Summer ?

SLASH – I might come back to Europe for a couple of weeks in the summer time. Probably in July, but I’m waiting to find out what specifically is happening.

 What's your opinion about the internet on our lives ?

SLASH – I think the Internet is a natural progression in the information age. I think it is very convenient and it is great for communicating to my fans. It has many great positives to it, as well a many negative sides. Like anything in life, it needs to be used in small doses.

 Fans normally, cross the line that separates the artist from the human being's private life. Does it affect you ?

SLASH – I’ve had some issues with fans stepping into areas where they are not welcome. It’s just part of the business and you have to learn how to protect yourself from it.

 After your Army was started, many other Armies were created based on it . What's your opinion about the « Slash Army » project ?

SLASH – The Slash Army is very supportive, and it’s very region specific.

We'd like to thank you for everything you've been doing. We just completed one year and every single day during this time, was a great pleasure for us!.

Rock on,

Lucas Ferraz.
