@drewmagary The story goes that the US team had a 1-on-1 tourney in Sydney during the 2000 games. Garnett beat all other 11 players consecutively (roster: http://bit.ly/hqBU4S) until Allan Houston finally beat him on the second go-round (KG's 17th consecutive game). The lesson is that a guard isn't gonna be as good cuz a big man can back him down and he'll have no defensive response. Thus LeBron would easily be the cream of the crop today, but a guy like Dirk would probably be better than Derrick Rose or other smaller guys.
