#CrescentHeadSevens. 1st game v Hamilton.
Early start, but all managed to get up and out and at the fields by 7.15am. Therefore actually had time for proper warm-up and discussion of game plan!
8am kick-off against Hamilton. They were mostly big, and were certainly more of a 15s team than a 7s team.
Sticking to our game plan of avoiding contact and passing the ball around we did well for a couple of minutes, with Tamara finishing off a great team try.
The first half was cut short by a bad knee injury on the Hamilton team. Should have been chance to have a drink and get our breath back, but was a little distracting.
2nd half we were tired and started copying Hamilton's hit-it-up strategy. @littlemisclumsy nearly got a fist in the face for tackling off the ball. Let in a soft try by not all marking a player. They didn't convert, so still 2 points up.
Lucky intercept from Maretta got a great run-away try, which she converted.
Full-time. 14 to 5. Happy to have won first game.
