#NCLEX Tip – When to take the NCLEX exam 2.2.2011
by ATI on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 7:46am

Nursing graduates are bursting with nursing knowledge!! In order to promote success on NCLEX, it is very important for graduates to keep that knowledge fresh by staying connected to content and questions until NCLEX is taken. One study showed that when new grads were away from nursing content for 59 days, pass rates on NCLEX dropped to 50%.

So as you approach graduation and NCLEX, be proactive and have a plan!! The best plan should include the use of assessments, or practice tests, that provide you with feedback on your strengths and weaknesses. Focus your review of content on areas of weaknesses. You don’t need to review those areas where you have strengths; you know that content!!
