The whole world is watching us in disbelief. Our irrational behavior, only exceeded by the disingenuous demagoguery used to justify it, is past the point of reasonable patience.
The arbitrary, fabricated arguments that make headlines and occupy precious time we allotted to forging solutions for our serious social and financial problems are the tar baby we must extricate ourselves from to take a turn that makes sense. We are our own worst enemy & it isn't easy abandoning old, extreme positions.
We are in a world where media focus is continuously on controversy, chaos & campaigning instead of solutions, rational behavior & governance. It's time to stop the death spiral and do the right thing.
