A Case of Mind Control - Part 1
As I stated in the previous post, my experience with mind control was limited although I had experienced a form of mind control. Hypnosis is on the fence. There are those in the medical community who do not support it. It is mind control, but even those who study mind control or are involved in it do not agree where to put hypnotism on the mind control totem pole. When I was hypnotized I felt "lighter" than usual but had a sense of self-control. In other words, I knew the difference between right and wrong. I didn't need to know what the difference was, I already knew. Could a hypnotist re-teach the difference between right and wrong while a subject was under? I don't know, but my research is still ongoing.
When my friend asked if I believed in mind control I was amused at first. But one look at his face told me he was serious. I said I had read some stuff about it, mainly the experiments CIA had conducted in the 1950's using LSD and other drugs to extract information from Soviet spies and/or operatives. Most of this "research" was done in safe houses in Canada. The Canadian Government still has not denied or confirmed their knowledge of such a program. I had read some about techniques, but that was pretty much the extent of my research.
He asked me if I would conduct my own research on the subject. I has to ask why. His comeback was he needed information and knew I could have enough for him as this case continued. I am not a professional researcher. I do have a gift for reading through things. When I was a kid I read encyclopedias. I'm not kidding. I just enjoyed learning about stuff and still do. The Internet is obviously a good way to find information. I asked what type of scope do you want me research this project. I took a research class in college and put together a scope for the class finale. He said he had better share some details of this case with me. We agreed he would not use real names.
My friend is Adam. He works for a merger and acquisition firm, but is not a lawyer. At the time Adam hired my friend he had been in the work for about 14 years after switching careers. He and his wife had been married over 25 years and had two children. My friend told me he had suspected his wife had something going on. One weekend she didn't get home until 2:45 in the morning. Prior to that she had been getting home later. She had been with her friends who had quite frankly turned or were turning their husbands into beta chumps. She wasn't apologetic about being out so late and said she was with friends. He had called her cell phone but no answer. He tried to talk to her but she wasn't in the mood. I asked what she worked at and he said she worked at a pharmacy as a technician. Immediately I thought of drugs. She had been there about 4 years and had a decent work record, or so Adam thought.
I told him I'd start looking up stuff tonight when I got home. I'll start with a broad overview and focus on the drug aspect of it. I was curious. I asked him if he was sure this was a case of mind control. He countered that he was positive.
It was getting late and we finished our second beer and agreed to meet again in two days. When and where would be determined. He said he'd get to the part that most likely includes some type of mind control scheme. He'd provide the pieces and I'd have to put the puzzle together. I knew I'd need help in that area, but he'd be just the one to help me. This project would take us both. Just how much of us at the time, I had not a clue.
