I hate to bring attention to it but it's really just a shame at the growing network of people teaming up on Michelle Phan.

I understand there are ALWAYS going to be things you may not like about a guru or any PERSON you see on this Earth. But can't they see what they're doing is downright bullying? With all the suicides in young adults & teens going around from... being teased and teamed up on, really? Editing photos and picking at every single thing she puts out there ... it's just too much. I can't imagine how they'd feel if that many people talked about them when none of those people will ever truly know you. What is with this pitiful trend of wanting to bring others down? Why can't we all just support each other and put that negative energy to something positive ... please.

I know the main roots are people argue that she is only in this for money, that her skincare line doesn't work because of how her skin doesn't appear to look as dewy as it did like ... 3 long years ago. They say that she lies and have taken...... extensive amounts to find screenshots of pictures she's posted or things she's said all the way back to her Xanga days. When people aggravate her and she actually talks back, they point out about how she can't take criticism. People argue she's a copycat of makeup looks of other gurus. People make fun of her new wardrobe style, the texture of her hair, the ways she words things in her tutorials ... it's ridiculous.

It's just come to a point where I know that people are literally sitting there just waiting for her next tweet or next video just to pick through it and find screenshots paused where she looks odd, things she say that "sound stupid" or were grammatically incorrect, how unoriginal they think the look was, how she poses, how her hair looks, if the makeup application was messy ... so many things.

Makeup ideas are constantly recycled. Fashion repeats itself. You sit and create a look and for all you know, 100 other people have done a similar look. Did you copy each other? No. You both just created art and they happened to be similar. There's so many repeated themes, characters, color combinations in the makeup world there are bound to be overlaps. People are inspired by other artists but everything they create will always have their own touch to it.

I just want to say that at the root of all things, Michelle Phan is here to give makeup ideas and skincare tips. She started making videos back in 2006. It's been 4 years since then. She was one of the first people to ever start making these kinds of videos and she started out doing something simple: helping people out with skincare and giving makeup ideas. To this day, she still does that as many people still find inspiration and enjoyment in her videos. As for the changes to her hair, her clothing style, the things she does, where she lives ... if someone were to criticize you for being different than you were 4 years ago then my goodness! Who you were when you were 16 is going to be different than who you are when you're 20 in so many ways. Their goal is to make people not like her too and "end her fame" but seriously, if someone doesn't like Michelle, they'll stop watching. That's it. That's all they need to do. It's fine if you don't like her. No one can be liked by everyone. But to go extensive amounts trying to convince other people of the same and make websites about it and actively trying to hurt her because you don't like who she is now? Please, they need to just stop and think about what they're doing. It's too much, it's degrading and these are just girls like us, doing these things. But they have the potential to be spending time on doing much more positive things. They are very capable of it and I know they're a lot better than this...

Sorry for the extensiveness of this, but I feel like it needs to be said ... just because words on the Internet aren't verbal or said to your face they can sting and affect a person more than you may realize or that person may ever show. Please remember that.

Especially to the people reading this that do these things.
