this miracle happen a few days bk!!!!as ‘Mother of the Universe’ manifests her presence with outpouring of sindoor
DEVOUT Hindus worldwide have recently completed nine days and nine nights of fasting during the sacred period of Navratri, and while devotees of the Supreme have absolute faith in their religion, what many are convinced is a miracle has manifested as sindoor flowing from the three divine forms of the Supreme being, whom are worshipped during this auspicious period, at the Radha Krishna Mandir in Camp Street. Priest-in-charge of the Mandir, Pandit Rudra Sharma, said that he sees this miracle as a blessing from the Mother of the Universe on the nation of Guyana. According to Pt Rudra, the mandir held Navratri puja for nine nights, which concluded on Sunday night, after which the building was locked.

However, on Monday morning when the temple was opened for worship a red powdery substance was observed on mother Durga’s forehead and cheeks.
The Pandit was amazed and called some of the regular worshippers of the mandir to observe this phenomenon. Word soon spread and, according to Pandit Rudra, Hindus have been converging on the Mandir from all over the country since Monday to witness this miracle and receive a tika (dot in the middle of the forehead) from Mother Durga’s sindoor.

He said revered elder and founder of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha, Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud, visited the Mandir on Monday to celebrate this physical manifestation of the Goddess’ beneficence.

According to Pandit Rudra, every single night since Monday, before hundreds of witnesses the sindoor, despite being applied to thousands of persons, kept increasing.
On Tuesday the Pandit said that there was a virtual stampede that nearly caused a collapse of the altar when a stranger from the Essequibo first saw sindoor appearing on Mother Lakshmi’s murti also, then subsequently that of Mother Swarsattie. Pandit Rudra said that his feelings at this auspicious blessing were so overwhelming that he was crying and shaking, even while he applied sindoor to the foreheads of the thousands of devotees who lined up in a never-ending queue to receive the tika.

Pandit Rudra says that he feels supremely blessed and simultaneously humbled at having witnessed this mystical phenomenon. He said that the sindoor is very auspicious in Hinduism, and because it is symbolical of many positive things, it is used during marriage when that holy bond is consecrated by the husband applying sindoor to the new wife, signifying happiness, merging of families, a future of joy and fulfillment, and embarking on a new journey in life, among others.

Pandit Rudra said that Pandit Reepu Daman Persaud, a spiritual elder for whom he has great regard and with whom he works closely to ensure that there are corresponding dates on the calendars of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha and the Pandits Council, which have to be determined through the Patra, said that this phenomenon is a great manifestation of the Supreme Mother and a vindication of the faith of true Hindus.

Pandit Rudra, son of revered late Pandit Gowkarran Sharma, is a third generation pandit whose paternal grandfather was Pandit Deodat Sharma of Grove and maternal grandfather was Pandit Shankar Prashad of Lima, Essequibo.
Hindus from all over the country, as well as Indian nationals, are flocking to the Radha Krishna Mandir by the hundreds, with many in the Diaspora already booking their flights to travel to Guyana to receive the darshan (blessing) of the Supreme Mother by way of a tika.

A team of over twenty media operatives from Trinidad are already in the country and they have authenticated the miracle that has manifested in the Radha Krishna Mandir.

'Navratri' means 'nine nights'. Like all Indian festivals, there are many legends attached to the conception of Navratri. All of them are related to Goddess Shakti (Hindu Mother Goddess) and her various forms. It is one of the most celebrated festivals of the Hindu calendar, during which farmers sow seeds and thank the Goddess for her blessings and pray for better yield. In older times, Navratri was associated with the fertility of Mother Earth who feed us as her children.

The first three days of Navratri are dedicated to Goddess Durga (Goddess of strength, courage and endurance) dressed in red and mounted on a lion. Her various incarnations - Kumari, Parvati and Kali - are worshipped during these days. They represent the three different stages of womanhood that include the child, the young girl and the mature woman. The next three days are dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi (Goddess of Light, Wealth and Prosperity), dressed in gold and mounted on an owl; and finally, the last three days are dedicated to Goddess Saraswati (Goddess Of Knowledge and the arts), dressed in milky white and mounted on a pure white swan.
In some communities, people undergo rigorous fasts during this season that lasts for the nine days of Navratri. The festival culminates on Mahanavami. On this day, Kanya Puja is performed.

Navratri is celebrated twice a year - once in Chaitra (March-April), and the other in Ashwin (September-October). As mentioned before, navratra literally means 'nine auspicious nights'. It is actually the worship of the Goddess of power in order to seek her protection from any possible kind of threat and calamities that may destroy the peaceful life of people on earth. As she is the goddess of power, she is believed to have the power of creation, preservation and destruction.

She is also worshipped under nine different names for the nine days in Navratri. Every day she assumes a new character, a new look and a new duty. She is worshipped as Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skanda Mata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Maha Gauri and Siddhidatri.
