@therealcliffyb: I just read the IGN article about the changes being made for Gears 3. It mentions that EPIC will be implementing dedicated servers for the online matchmaking component. It also mentions that Gears 3 will include True Host Migration. I would like to know how both can be utilised at the same time.

Dedicated Servers would imply a client to server connection, thus eliminating the need for any one player to act as the host. Host Migration works on P2P connections, where one player (usually with the best bandwidth) is chosen as the host. If that person should leave the game, then the Host Migration system kicks in and "migrates" to a new host, to which everyone else joins.

Both systems contradict each other. Please shed some light on this issue. Or if it wasn an IGn mistake, then get it fixed.
