Hey, there! Thanks for your interest in my 8-Week Online Novel-Writing Course. It's designed to coincide with November's National Novel-Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), but includes both pre-drafting and revision instruction as well.

Here's what we'll do:

Week 1: Genre, characters, motivations, beginnings and endings

Week 2: Plotting for maximum writing power

Week 3: Backstory, "status quo" and Act I

Week 4: Act II -- up to the middle of the story

Week 5: Act II continued -- from the middle of the story to the Act III crisis

Week 6: Act III, including the climax and denounment

Week 7: Revising, Step 1: Taking stock

Week 8: Revising, Step 2: Quick rewriting for maximum impact.

I've been a teacher of creative writing at a major university for more than 8 years, and all through that time I've done independent novel-writing coaching as well as written these dang things myself! When you finish my course, you will have a revised draft of a novel ready to post, sell, share, or revise further. (I offer one final read with comments after your revision!) The only way to be a novelist is to WRITE THAT NOVEL! I will be your cheerleader, drill sergeant, and best friend during this whole process.

We will start Sunday, October 24 and continue through the 8 weeks until the middle of December. (If that doesn't work for you, you may choose your own dates.) It's $100 paid by our start date, and then that's IT -- we're off and running. No extra supplies, books, charges, or anything, and you'll get what it takes people years in an MFA program to create: a finished novel.

So whaddya think? Shall we do this? E-mail me at seanhoade@gmail.com to get started!
