Waking up to the sound of rain of the roof,
However the sun shining in your window.
look in the mirror, the lights reflecting on your face.
Its another one of those days.

You feel unpretty, unworthy, and ugly.
Theres nothing you can do now.
Your souls is shattered
And your confidence is cracked.

You feel for your heart beneath your chest
You feel it beating, at an unbelievable rate.
You feel the dagger through it.
It’s broken, like porcelain glass.
Can’t be fixed now.

It’s like you’re on a carousel
That’s spinning way to fast and wont stop.
You hate feeling like you aren’t beautiful.
But you don’t know how to feel worthy.

The room goes black,
You can feel the blood pumping through your veins.
Every muscle in your body tightens.
Your face drops its colour.

Your heart rate slows down,
Starts beating at a normal pace.
You start to regain your sight.
You feel the blood bringing the colour back to your face.
Your muscles loosen up.

You open your eyes, staring at yourself once again
You feel better now.
You feel pretty again.
Your body’s weak, but your confidence is stronger.

You shouldn’t have let those voices fill your head,
You realize now, the guilt is flooding your brain.
You break down, this will be the last time.
You realize you’re better than this.

You understand now.
You are beautiful just the way you are.
The carousel slows down.
Comes to a complete stop, you hop off.
Smiling, you’re stronger now.
You’ve learnt your lesson.
You whisper to your self
As you stare in the mirror reading your own lips.
“I am beautiful. No one can steal that from me.”
